Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Fnon Al-Rafidayn Journal

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research that is not under consideration elsewhere. Submissions must adhere strictly to the following guidelines:

  1. Language of Submission

Manuscripts may be submitted in either Arabic or English. Authors are required to clearly indicate the language of submission during the submission process.

  1. File Format

Submissions must be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.docx).
PDF files are not accepted.

  1. Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must conform to the following formatting specifications:

  • Font: Sakkal Majalla
  • Font Size: 13
  • Line Spacing: Single
  • The title and author information must be provided in both Arabic and English on the first page
  • Avoid underlining; use italics where appropriate
  1. Manuscript Structure

Authors may adopt one of the following structures depending on the submission language and academic conventions:

  1. Arabic-Language Manuscripts
  • Title (Arabic and English)
  • Abstract (maximum 300 words, in Arabic and English)
  • Keywords (3–6 terms, in Arabic and English)
  • Methodological Framework
  • Theoretical Framework
  • Research Procedures
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusions
  • References (APA style)
  1. English-Language Manuscripts
  • Title
  • Abstract (maximum 300 words)
  • Keywords (3–6 terms)
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review / Conceptual Background
  • Methodology
  • Analysis and Interpretation
  • Conclusion
  • References (APA style)

Authors are encouraged to select the structure that best aligns with their academic discipline, ensuring clarity, coherence, and logical flow throughout the manuscript.

  1. References
  • All references must follow APA (American Psychological Association) style
  • References should be formatted using a 1 cm hanging indent and single spacing
  1. Figures and Tables
  • All figures, tables, charts, and images must be embedded within the text at appropriate locations
  • They must be of high resolution
  • Each must include a clear source citation
  1. Ethics and Plagiarism
  • All submissions are subject to plagiarism screening using iThenticate 
  • Authors must adhere to ethical publishing standards
  • Any conflicts of interest must be clearly declared

  • Authors from Iraq: 125,000 IQD
  • Authors from outside Iraq: 100 USD

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with Fnon Al-Rafidayn Journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright of their work.

  2. Authors grant Fnon Al-Rafidayn Journal the right of first publication, and the work will be licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows others to share, copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the work for any purpose, even commercially, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the journal as the place of original publication.

  3. The authors declare that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere.

  4. The authors confirm that the manuscript does not contain any unlawful, defamatory, or plagiarized content and that all necessary permissions for copyrighted materials have been obtained.

  5. Fnon Al-Rafidayn Journal is permitted to archive, index, distribute, and make the work publicly available in print, digital, and online formats through various platforms and repositories.
