The Feminization of Poverty in Contemporary Iraqi Theater

The problem of the study was summarized in the following question: What is the presence of the feminization of poverty in the Iraqi theater? It aimed to reveal the representations of the feminization of poverty in the Iraqi theater for the period between (1956-2020) and for the theoretical establishment of the study, it was necessary to delve into two foundational investigations, the first of which included the concept of the term feminization of poverty and its philosophical and historical walls, and its most prominent foundations and phenomena, while the second included the Marxist reflection theory and its representations in the Iraqi theater, as well as the most prominent manifestations of that phenomenon in the theater at the level of the text and determine the research community with theatrical texts Al-Iraqiya, which takes the phenomenon of the feminization of poverty as its subject for the period between (1956-2022), and some performances were selected from them as samples in a random manner with three performances represented by (the play Ya Rab, the play of summer rain, Ibn Al-Khaiba, I am your mother, Shaker, Al-Sit Hassiba) and through the adoption of the indicators of the theoretical framework, a tool was adopted to analyze samples and reach the goal of the study and obtain results, the most prominent of which are: :

1.The expansion of the presence of the feminization of poverty in the Iraqi theatrical performance to multiple levels socially, economically and culturally.

2.The feminization of poverty in theatrical performance was an important presence through the theme of War and its social and cultural overlaps.

1. The deterioration of cultural and cognitive awareness was a major reason for the feminization of poverty in the theater.
