Abstract

Summary: The term "approach" and "convergence" means approaching, drawing near, and being close to things. In the arts, the term refers to the convergence in the style of expressing the artistic achievement of one artist in a way that is similar to the style of another artist in presenting ideas and visions in the system of the artwork, especially since the artist comes from a society that is determined by many factors, including historical, civilizational, cultural, and religious factors, such that these factors constitute pressure references in the artist's thought that appear in the structure of the artwork. However, there is another aspect in which the clear difference appeared in the process of completing artworks by artists, which differs from one artist to another, despite the presence of the same pressure references in the artist's thought. The research problem lies in the following question: What is the mechanism that both potters followed in their work that led to a convergence in the forms of their ceramics?
